To the Christian, worship is both a privilege and a responsibility. It is God's children expressing their love for their Heavenly Father. It is the enthroning of an Almighty God on His heavenly throne as well as on the throne of each of our hearts. We serve a God who is worthy, holy, and deserving of all praise, honor, and glory. Worship is our response to God in light of who He is, who we were, and who we now are in Him. Though praise and worship of the Lord can be rightly expressed in a variety of ways, it is through our Music Ministry that this primarily takes place.

The Worship Ministry of First Baptist Church of the Islands gives believers of all ages the opportunity to use their gifts to serve God and the church. There are opportunities on a weekly basis or even involvement in our spectacular, seasonal productions. Whatever your gift, there is a place for you to invest your talent and express your worship. As we seek to know Christ and to make Him known, praise and worship of the Lord both strengthens us and encourages us in that journey. At First Baptist Church of the Islands, we utilize a variety of methods to lead people into vibrant worship of the Lord. Whether through powerful drama, exciting choir leadership, or through the leadership of our praise band, people are drawn weekly into the awesome place of worship of God.
