As Max Lucado highlights in his book "On the Anvil", each person can be compared to a tool found in the shop of a blacksmith. Some may be found in the scrap pile, broken and damaged, dull and rusty, currently in need of great repair and attention. Others may be found on the anvil, moldable and changeable, heated up and melted down, currently being shaped for usefulness. Yet others may be found in the toolbox, sharpened and primed, honed and prepared, currently being used with precision and purpose.

Each and every tool has one thing in common. Every single one of them has the potential at any given moment to receive the attention of the blacksmith. Proverbs 27:17 states, "As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another." The desire of the Ironmen Men's Ministry is to give direction and opportunity to men to see their God-given potential to be useful instruments in the hands of the Master, Jesus Christ. Whether currently in the scrap heap experiencing brokenness in life, on the anvil being shaped by the Lord, or in the toolbox being used greatly in personal ministry, God wants to take ownership of the lives of men to mold them into those who are "useful to the Master" (2 Timothy 2:21).
The objective of the Ironmen Men's Ministry is to lead men to know Christ and to make Him known. Through dynamic events offered two to three times per year and featuring guest speakers, men are challenged to be committed to Christ and to all that He has for their lives. Through monthly breakfasts (The Forge), men are provided the opportunity to fellowship and to be challenged through both special speakers and the testimonies of one another. Through weekly small group study teams (Anvil Teams or, A-Teams), men are able to be honed and sharpened in their walks with Christ.
Additionally, periodic outings and banquets are scheduled throughout the year to provide exciting and meaningful opportunities to "sharpen" one another in our faithfulness to Christ. Ironmen Men's Ministry is also active in reaching out to other men with the gospel of Christ as we seek to serve him actively in missions.
