It seems as though everyone has a perspective on what a "perfect" Christian should be. However, attempting to live up to that ideal often brings more frustration than joy, more defeat than victory. The demands of daily living such as raising children, managing a career, and a host of other endeavors often make it difficult for women to develop a walk of significance with the Lord. Yet it is when one places a walk with Christ as the priority of their life that everything else seems to fit best.

The Ladies Ministry of First Baptist Church of the Islands has the objective of leading women to know Christ and to make Him known. The key is not seeking to become the "perfect" Christian in our own efforts but to seek complete dependence upon Jesus Christ on a daily basis. It is Christ in us Who is our hope of glory (Colossians 1:27 ). Through periodic special events such as our Ladies Tea, ladies are given the opportunity to be both challenged and encouraged in their daily lives. Our ongoing weekly Ladies Bible Study offers biblical instruction which provides valuable insights into living the Christian life in God's power. And a variety of Ladies ministries are available to provide opportunities to serve the Lord as we serve others.
