As you have surely recognized, God is doing great things through this church to reach the islands with the message of the Gospel!  Our services have been very well attended throughout the summer and, as a result, a lot of people are growing in their walks with God.  Now is the time to continue pushing to reach the islands for Christ and His glory. 

I encourage you to make every effort to be here over the next six weeks as we continue the series we started last Sunday entitled "Pride Unplugged."  We are required to battle pride virtually everyday of our lives and, as we saw last week, the cost of allowing pride to take root in our lives can be devastating.  Commit to be here and bring someone with you . . . God is at work so don't just keep it between you and Him!  Bring someone along and pray for His work in their life, as well.

We have a special night of prayer planned for Wednesday, August 5 here at the church.  We are asking each of our people to pack it in that night and pray for God's provision and protection here.  Plan to block out that night from 6:30pm until 7:30pm for a special night of prayer for our church family and ministries.  Adults will meet in the sanctuary for this special time and youth will meet in the Fellowship Hall.

It's also time for shoeboxes to be picked up, packed up, and shipped out in advance of our 8th mission trip to the Philippines in January, 2010.  You can pick up your box beginning this Sunday . . . our goal is 800 boxes to be shipped soon.  These boxes will be delivered by our team in January and each one will open a door for the Gospel to be shared as it is delivered.

It's been a very productive summer for His glory and I can't wait to see you on Sunday!  Enjoy Him today!
