What an exciting day it was this past Sunday as we not only had two great morning services, an exciting DIVE in the evening, but also the opportunity to move forward as a church with the first phase of a new building program!  I am excited about the added space for our preschoolers, as well as our Middle/High School students.  I also have to say that it will be great to have more room in which to welcome those who visit with us in a new Welcome Center.  And, of course, new church offices will be quite a blessing also!

Equally exciting to me is the growth that I expect to see in the lives of our people as it is expected that many will play a part in serving and giving to help make these plans a reality.  I truly believe that God will stretch and grow us as we make ourselves available to Him in the days ahead.  Unity will be key as we strive together to walk the path He has set before us.  I know of no other church in existence that I would rather walk with through these exciting days than First Baptist Church of the Islands!

It is so obvious to me that God has brought us to this stage in our history and it is extremely important from the beginning to remember that all which is accomplished is for His glory only and is to help us to reach these islands and beyond with the Gospel.  Now is the time to lead others to know Christ, to grow in their relationship with Christ, to show Christ to those around us, and to go faithfully with the Gospel as we tell others about a relationship with Christ.
