Approximately 50 of us just returned from WOW Weekend 5, which is our annual trip to Clarksville, Virginia in partnership with Water's Edge Community Church there.  Every summer we go for a weekend of outreach with the great people of Water's Edge.  This year, we saw the Lord bless our efforts yet again through a very busy weekend of ministry!  Our choir sang on Friday night in the Clarksville Fine Arts Auditorium and the house was packed to standing room only, probably over 300 people all total.  The next day saw our entire team at a local nursing home facility and then an afternoon of door-to-door outreach in the community.  Saturday evening we ministered through a community block party and then our choir sang on Sunday during the morning service.  It was a very busy weekend but one which was extremely rewarding as we were able to SHOW Christ and GO with the Gospel!

Monday night was a difficult night for many of us as we held the memorial service for Debbie Rentner, one who touched many through her passion for Jesus.  I have seen such strength and courage in her husband, Rob, in these recent months which can only be supplied through Christ.  Our choir and church have really been used of God in these recent days to SHOW the love of Christ in practical, yet powerful ways.  Debbie will be missed by all her knew her.  However, thankfully we know that with our own relationship with Jesus, this goodbye is merely temporary!

Let me say how proud and blessed I am to be a part of this amazing church family!  I know of no other church that God would have my family and me to be a part of besides this one!  We are blessed by your love, encouragement, yieldedness to Christ, and responsiveness to His Word.  I am one blessed man indeed!
